Did you know that more than half of Australian kids playing contact sports are not wearing a mouthguard?
Research* commissioned by the ADA found that only 36% of children aged 5 to 17 have a mouthguard and wear it when playing contact sport. Alarmingly, only 19% wear mouthguards while training for contact sport.
To encourage more Australians to protect their teeth, the ADA is inviting schools and sport clubs nationwide to demonstrate that they are committed to mouthguards.
Simply submit a photo showing your school or club’s commitment to mouthguards and tell us in 25 words or less why it is important to wear a custom-fitted mouthguard.
The most creative entries could win one of three $1,000 sports grants sponsored by the ADA.
